As an independent curator I am creating multiple exhibitions in collaboration with different museums.

‘Fashion Statements’ – Amsterdam Museum

I am looking in a different, modern way of dealing with historical fashion pieces from the Amsterdam Museum, by exploring the past, present and future of fashion statements. In collaboration with various external parties, we curate a visually stunning and fashionable exhibition and draw a wide range of information about the Amsterdam Museum. The participating designers are Art Comes First, Patta, Bas Kosters, Karim Adduchi, Ninamounah and Marga Weimans.

‘N8′ – Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer Op Solder

Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer Op Solder is the museum where I have been curating for since July 2017. As curator culture and society I strive to create awareness on tolerance being an essential contribution to a peaceful society. In 2017 and 2018 I curated ‘Op Solder x Museumnacht’. I selected artists (illustrators, visual artists and fashion designers) and creative collectors who use the theme of tolerance and diversity as a canvas. I asked them to show us how they deal with tolerance and diversity in Amsterdam. In 2017, I won the Museumnacht N8 award in the category medium sized museum.

Being part of a family is about having a sense of affinity. Every family has a story. The exhibition reveal the diversity of family structures.

The exhibition was on show till February 3rd with Rabia Omanette, Suzanne Klehmann, Maartje van Boekel, Geneme Abbabulgu and Gershwin Bonevacia. Portraits photo’s by Carin Verbruggen and Ferry Drenthem Soesman.
